Universal Class is an online education company that provides affordable classes to scholars, educators, and students.  Nearly 300,000 have enrolled in at least one course at Universal Class.  The program is open to anyone, as long as they have a high school reading level.  Classes are easy to use and convenient for individuals with busy schedules.  To ensure that all students are receiving quality education, the staff monitors instructors’ progress during the course and examines class quality.  Students can create an online portfolio and manage all their certificates and course completions.  It is not guaranteed that any courses will transfer as college credit.  That decision is up to an admissions counselor at the university/college.   

Self-paced

This online course is 6 months and self-paced.  Throughout the course, an instructor will monitor your progress and evaluate your work after completing the class.  The basic course without a certificate will cost $35, but individuals who want a certificate will need to pay $60.  Certificates are viewable online and can be instantly downloaded and printed.  The course is divided into 16 different lessons which include: History of Massage Therapy; Anatomy and Physiology; Types of Massage; Massage Therapy for Women; Eco-Friendly Massage Products; Ethics; and Setting up a Massage Business.  This class was created for individuals who are interested in understanding the techniques and basics of massage therapy.
