Chiropractic Rehabilitation Specialist
Spinal rehab is a therapeutic solution to back pain and other problems in the muscular system. During a patient’s first session, the chiropractor will conduct an overall function test, assessing strength, coordination, endurance, and flexibility. After determining the results of the function test, the physician will decide on the appropriate intensity, mode, and duration of exercise to improve the patient’s existing condition. A chiropractic rehabilitation specialist (CRS) knows how to improve function of the spine without using a lot of equipment or space. If more intense therapy is required, a CRS will refer the patient to another rehabilitation specialist. Sometimes patients will need reevaluation if pain doesn’t diminish after several sessions. Chiropractic adjustments will help a patient achieve short term pain relief. The patient must continue practicing exercises after completing rehabilitation sessions to decrease any reoccurring pain.
Reasons for Back Pain
Back pain around the spine occurs when there is muscle weakness or decreased motor control around a specific joint. Chronic pain is hard to diagnose because it is considered a motor control problem. In severe cases, surgery is required, but typically motor control exercises or coordination and endurance therapy is effective. Back pain may be the result of a specific injury; discs that have deteriorated; an inactive lifestyle; or pain inhibition. Spinal rehabilitation is natural solution to short term back pain depending on the severity of the condition.
