Corvita Institute
The Corvita Institute is located in several cities and is a nationally accredited massage therapy program. Each location is accredited and acknowledged by the U.S Department of Education. Massage Therapy courses at Corvita focus on theory and practice, communication and ethics, and science and anatomy courses. The program at Corvita prepares students for the national exam test and future careers. The instructors are experienced in owning their own practice, writing articles and books, and giving presentations at national conferences. After graduation, the faculty assists students with job placement in cities, spas, and resorts all across the nation.
Illinois Central College
Illinois Central College is located in Peoria, IL and has an outstanding massage therapy program. Students will obtain their associate degree in Massage Therapy. Admission to the Massage Therapy Program includes: High school graduate or equivalent; a grade of 62 or higher on the COMPASS Read Test; and a “C” or better in BIOL 140 and TM 110. In order to remain in the program, students must earn a “C” or above in all courses. Once courses are complete, graduates are eligible to take the National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Classes and laboratories are taught on ICC campus, and clinical experiences will be held at facilities throughout the Central Illinois area. After graduation, students can find employment opportunities at health spas, fitness clubs, massage therapy businesses and salons.
