Concorde Career College
Located in San Diego, California, Concorde College offers a 34-week Massage Therapy Degree Program designed to prepare students with the best education and knowledge for the industry. Students will develop an understanding for basic science courses, anatomy, basic massage techniques, and business ethics at Concorde. Individuals will gain knowledge of how the muscular and skeletal systems of the body function to enhance the health of their future clients. Students will participate in labs to gain hands-on experience and will complete a 92-hour internship prior to graduation. Massage techniques that are taught in courses include: Chair, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Acupressure, Sports, Reflexology, Pre-natal and several others. Students will receive a Concorde Career College Diploma and will be prepared to take the licensure exam that is required in some counties of California.
Employment After College
As individuals graduate from college and gain more experience, they will have many employment opportunities. Massage therapists can work in rehabilitation centers, chiropractic offices, hospitals, massage clinics, salons, shopping malls, athletic centers, and spas. Many airports and cruise ships are employing more massage therapists to cater to guests. The majority of massage therapists will start their own business and recruit their own clients. There are many employment opportunities for massage therapists throughout the country.
