The two most common areas of back aches include the trapezius, muscles in the shape of a triangle in the upper back, and the shoulder blades. However, if your upper back hurts from overuse, strain, or poor posture, there are a few things you can do on own to alleviate pain.
Relieve Upper Back Aches without Paying the Price
Many people may not seek medical attention for back aches because of financial reasons. There are a few things one can do at home to save money and time. Try massaging the upper trapezuis for about a minute. This will help decrease muscle spasms. Apply pressure on the irritated spot to relieve pain for a longer period of time. Also, knead the trapezius muscle because it helps to increase circulation and stretch the muscle. In addition, try sitting up straight while reading or sitting at your desk. Many people are acquiring poor posture by extending their necks forward while slouching their shoulders. Sitting like this is an all too common cause of upper back pain. At the end of the work day, try stretching different parts of the upper back muscles and begin performing light exercise activities to increase blood circulation.
