Online massage therapy courses are self-paced and convenient for individuals who want to complete their training and education.  UniversalClass, an online institution, offers a 6-month course in massage therapy training.  During the six months of class, an instructor will monitor the student’s progress.  Upon completion of the course, students will meet with the instructor and demonstrate different massage techniques.  Once the course is complete, the student can print their certificate or CEUs online.  UniversalClass offers an online portfolio that manages all certificates and course completions.  Employers can view this site to verify the courses that he or she has completed.  The six month course is divided into 16 different lessons.  Some topics include: An Introduction to Massage Therapy, Basic Human Physiology and Anatomy, Types of Massages, Massage Therapy for Women and Babies, Setting up Massage Therapy Business, and Massage Therapy Ethics.  These courses will teach students everything about the industry and how to perform effective massages. 

 Information Regarding Several Course Lessons

Courses will enhance student’s skills in massage therapy techniques such as Hot Stone Massage, Foot Massage, Back Massage, and Relaxing Hand and Arm Massage. The History of Massage lesson will focus on the beginning of massage in the eastern world and how it extended across to the western side of the world.  Students will also learn the basic human physiology and anatomy and how it applies to massage therapy.  Learning how the human body and muscles operate will enhance the students massage therapy skills in the real world.  The course will also focus on the several massage methods including Japanese, Chinese, Persian, Hawaiian, and Thai.  These are just several course descriptions that the class will cover. Students will learn everything from massage therapy ethics to starting their own business.
