A massage therapy clinic can offer a client both a rewarding and relaxing experience.  Clients can choose from specialized massages or even the basic Swedish massage.  Every massage therapy clinic will offer different amenities to the client.  Some offer packages that will help to save the client money, while others offer complimentary treatments.  If you are looking at booking an appointment with a massage therapy clinic in your area, it’s important to always ask the prices or hourly rates.  It’s also vital to ask if there are any additional charges as some clinics charge extra for specific lotions.  If you are allergic to a certain lotion or cream that is used, it’s essential that you note this and tell your massage therapist.  In most cases, they will have a variety of different massage creams available on hand for you to choose from.  Or, you can purchase your own massage cream and bring this on your appointment to ensure that you don’t get an allergic reaction.  Most standard massage therapy clinics offer Swedish massages, hot stone massages, deep tissue massages, and sports therapy massages.  If this is your first time trying out a new massage therapy clinic you may only want to start with one hour as each massage therapist will offer different techniques and massages. Massage therapy clinics have to employ people who are certified and hold the proper credentials.  They cannot allow someone to perform a massage without the state credentials.  If the company does not employ therapists with proper training and board certifications, they will be forced to close their company.  Each state mandates that each massage therapist is trained and certified up to the state’s standards.  Each state is different so if a new massage therapist moves, they will have to be up to up to date with the new state’s credential requirements.
