Massage Tables: Necessary for any Massage

Why is it used?

Massage tables are necessary to have in order to perform an effective massage on the recipient.  The table supports the client’s body and places them in a good posture which allows them to enter a relaxed state of mind.  If the client isn’t relaxed or comfortable, the massage certainly won’t be effective.  The design of the massage table allows the masseuse to have complete access to all areas of the body that the client wants massaged.  It’s easy for the masseuse to maneuver around to different areas of the body.  The massage table offers numerous benefits for both the receiver and the masseuse.  The recipient of the massage can lie still and remain in a relaxed state of mind, while the masseuse can move around the recipient and give the person the best full body massage possible.  A proper massage table is necessary for the recipient to receive the full benefits of the massage and to prevent any possibly injury.

Structure of a massage table

A massage table is typically thirty inches wide and seventy six inches long.  Depending on the masseuse’s preferences, tables can be ordered in different sizes and heights.  Massage tables can also be adjusted to different heights that suit the masseuse’s needs.  The adjustable feature allows the masseuse to continue the massage without having to stop the massage because of awkward positions. They also have rounded edges to prevent any discomfort for the masseuse or the recipient.  On all massage tables there will be an area for head placement with most having a hole where the receiver can place his or her head.
