Spa-Like Environment

Massage Parlours offer a spa-like environment that is quiet and serene.  The typical lighting in massage parlours is dim followed with lighted candles. Most massage parlours are equipped with a locker facility that allows you to place your belongings safely before you enter into your massage. You are typically given a robe and slippers along with a key to ensure your purse, wallet or belongings can be easily retrieved.  Some massage parlours also have an aromatherapy steam room, Jacuzzi tub, shower and a dry sauna available to the client.  This allows the customer to either relax before or after the massage and in most cases this is available to the client for free the rest of the day.

Licensed Massage Therapist

The person who administers the massage has to be licensed and qualified within the state they are performing massages. Massage parlours will not hire on a person who isn’t qualified.  They must meet all necessary licensure requirements before they are hired on.  This ensures the client is being worked on properly and professionally. Massage parlours have to have a copy of each of the employed massage therapist’s license or degree.  These massage therapists are also required to keep up with the minimum continuing education hours to meet the pre-requisites to the licensure hours and keep their license each year.
