Male Massage

Male Massage

More and more men are experiencing male massage.  It was once thought that massage therapy was sought out only by women in the United States; however, many men are now realizing the benefits for sports rehabilitation injuries.  Many pro and minor sports teams across the U.S. are employing the help of a professional massage therapist full-time to rehab these athletes and men are finally taking notice.  These therapists are usually clinical therapists who specialize in orthopedic testing, range of motion evaluation, and sports rehab through advanced massage protocol techniques.  These protocols get the athlete to recover in a much faster and more relaxing way as opposed to only bed rest and prescription medication.  These sports teams are also employing the help of experienced licensed chiropractors, acupuncturists, and physical therapists in conjunction with massage therapists.  All work in harmony to promote a speedy and safe recovery process.

Who gets massages besides athletes?

All sorts of men experience male massage, not just athletes.  There are many massage clinics open everywhere throughout the United States and in most foreign country.  They can be in spas, hotels, cruise ships, corporate work events, chiropractic offices, sports rehabilitation centers, physical therapy clinics, acupuncture offices, athletic events such as amateur marathons and triathlons, and many more.  Clinical massage therapists are trained in many different techniques such as Effleurage, Petrissage, Tapotement, Roulement, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Release, Cyriax Friction technique, Rain-drop Therapy, Cranial-Sacral Technique, Shiatsu, orthopedic evaluation, and range of motion testing.
