Massage therapist

Between 2006 and 2016, employment for massage therapists is expected to increase by 20 percent.  More people are looking for holistic healing as a fun and enjoyable way to relax.  The medical profession is using massage therapy as a way to treat health issues such as muscle tension, stress related problems, some sickness, and anxiety.  People are choosing massage therapy as a way to help alleviate pain which is increasing the job demand.  Massage therapy is so effective for relieving stress that many businesses are adapting it into the work office.  Companies are hiring massage therapists to provide employees with massages during work.  Massages reduce anxiety and provide people with a clearer mind and rejuvenate body for the rest of the work day.

 Check Your States Requirements

In most states, people who complete training requirements and pass the national certificate exam, will more than likely find many job opportunities.  This profession is perfect for individuals seeking part-time work because of the flexible hours.  However, a lot of massage therapists that work in hotels, spas, physical therapy centers, or other business will probably only get part-time hours until they can build their own client base.
