Chiropractic Tables

Chiropractic table

There are numerous options available to a chiropractor who is looking to purchase a chiropractic table.  A chiropractic table is essential to ensuring the proper adjustments are made to the patient. It assists the Chiropractor in traction and make adjusting the patient more comfortable for the patients and the Chiropractor.  A traditional Chiropractor table has many standard features.

Air Compressor

Typically, there is an air compressor that tells the chiropractor how much air pressure is going in. The air pressure essentially supports the patient and it is a standard feature in all tables.

Pedals

The second standard feature would be the pedals located on either side of the table.  These push the table up or down on either side.  When the Chiropractor wishes to adjust the left side he can push the left pedal to rise only the left side of the patient, the same tactic is essentially used to change the right side of the table.

Locking Mechanism

Another standard feature is a locking mechanism that locks each position in place; if you wish to adjust the patient left to right you can lock this in place to assist the patient in feeling comfortable while the Chiropractor is making the necessary adjustments.

Rotation Mechanism

There is also a rotation mechanism that allows you to rotate the patient in different positions. This also assists the Chiropractor in making the necessary adjustments, while keeping the patient comfortable during the process.

Warranty

Another standard feature is the arm rests, thoracic drops, and foam tops, along with a typical one year to two year warranty from the manufacture.  It’s important to research all options before purchasing a Chiropractic table.  Some tables do not have the capability to elevate any other direction than up and down, other tables allow you to go back and forth as well as have the patient in a vertical position.  The control panels are all different on each manufacture. It’s essential to see what controls actually move each section as some have different speed controls while others limit you to a certain speed.  The most important thing is to ensure you have assistance if the Chiropractic machine breaks.  A proper warranty will help assure a longer life to each table.
